AI-Enabled Organizational Architecture for Strategic Decision-Making and Human–Machine Collaboration

Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming an organizational infrastructure rather than a stand-alone technological tool. This article examines how AI and data analytics reshape strategic decision-making and team effectiveness and how organizations can balance operational efficiency with human creativity and intuition. An integrative literature review was conducted across research in management, information systems, human resource management, organizational behavior, and human–AI collaboration. The synthesis indicates that AI can accelerate information processing, reduce certain forms of information asymmetry, and improve team decision quality when its capabilities are supported by reliable data, calibrated trust, digital literacy, appropriate incentives, and accountable governance. These benefits are conditional because opaque or incomplete AI systems may introduce new information asymmetries and excessive reliance. A sustainable AI-enabled organization therefore requires differentiated task allocation. Routine and structured activities can be automated, whereas complex analytical work is better augmented through human–AI collaboration. Creativity, intuition, and professional judgment remain essential for ambiguous and high-stakes tasks. The article concludes that organizational advantage depends less on maximizing automation than on designing complementary relationships between algorithmic capabilities and human agency.
