Experimental Study of 3 KW Generator Damage Types Based on Vibration Signals
Keywords:

The vibrate occurred in machine is caused by the influence of external vibration or inner of machine. Vibration signal measurements are generally used to monitor the condition of rotating machines such as motors and generators. Machine condition could be known by using vibration signal which can achieve diagnose of machine. This maintenance technique can detect damage to a machine by means of vibration analysis through identification of the vibration signal generated. This research was conducted by analyzing the type of damage to the 3 KW generator based on the vibration signal. This study analyzes 2 types of damage, namely mechanical looseness, and bearing faults based on vibration signals with a frequency domain after knowing the normal condition of the generator. In case of mechanical looseness can be seen from the vibration signal data with the characteristic peak amplitude at 2x rpm. To determine the damage to the bearing fault case, it can be seen from the characteristics of the peak amplitude of BSF: 49 HZ, BPFI: 116 Hz, BPFO: 80 dan FTF: 10
