Abstract

The development of digital technology has fundamentally transformed the nature of work and job characteristics across various industrial sectors. Tasks that were previously routine and measured through quantitative indicators increasingly demand higher-order thinking skills, creativity, and innovative capabilities from employees. This transformation presents new challenges in productivity measurement, as traditional approaches that focus solely on output quantity or working hours are no longer sufficient to capture employee performance comprehensively. This study aims to examine concepts and methods of employee productivity measurement in the digital era that integrate human creativity and innovation as essential components of assessment. The method employed is a literature review that collects and analyzes relevant scholarly sources. The findings indicate that effective productivity measurement in the digital era must combine quantitative and qualitative indicators while considering the work context and task characteristics. The main conclusion of this study is that creativity and innovation are critical determinants of long-term productivity and cannot be overlooked in performance measurement systems. This study contributes to the development of human resource management theory and provides practical guidance for organizations in designing productivity measurement systems that are fair, accurate, and sustainable.
