Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legal status of children resulting from surrogacy from the perspective of civil law in Indonesia. Using the literature study method and juridical analysis, this study examines various relevant laws and regulations. The results of the study show that there is a legal gap regarding the legal status of children resulting from surrogacy. Existing regulations have not specifically regulated surrogacy, resulting in legal uncertainty regarding the status of the child. This study provides recommendations for the government to clarify regulations related to surrogacy to provide legal certainty and protection for these children.
