Implementation of Laws to Support The Disabled Workforce

Legal protection of workers with disabilities is an important aspect in ensuring the rights and welfare of individuals with special needs in the work environment. This research aims to present a comprehensive overview of the legal framework that regulates the rights and obligations of workers with disabilities, as well as protection efforts that have been implemented by the government and related parties. This research uses a qualitative research type. This research uses a statutory approach. The data that has been collected is analyzed using qualitative methods and presented descriptively. Legal protection of workers with disabilities is not only about compliance with regulations, and about creating a work environment that is supportive, fair, and allows each individual to contribute according to their potential. The government through legislation guarantees the legal protection of workers with disabilities in obtaining employment opportunities through legal protection according to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and legal protection according to laws and regulations that have been established by the government to regulate the running of legal protection against workers with disabilities with the legal basis of Law Number 39 of 1999 concerning Human Rights, Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower, and Law Number 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities precisely in Article 53 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) which states that it requires workers with disabilities to be employed both in private companies and government-owned companies and to fulfill the rights of workers with disabilities.
